HOMEOPATHY

Homeopathy is a therapeutic approach based on the principle known as the “Law of Similars,” which proposes that a substance capable of producing certain symptoms in a healthy person may, when prepared using specific methods, be used to support someone experiencing similar symptoms.

While the origins of this concept can be traced back to the teachings of Hippocrates, modern homeopathy was developed by the German physician Samuel Hahnemann in the late 18th century.

A Whole-Person Approach

Homeopathy takes an individualized view of health. Beyond physical symptoms, practitioners consider factors such as temperament, lifestyle, personal and family history, and everyday environmental influences.

The goal is to select a remedy that most closely matches the unique characteristics of each individual.

The Concept of Vital Force

In traditional homeopathic philosophy, the body possesses an innate self-regulating capacity often referred to as the “vital force.” This vital force is believed to help maintain balance and support recovery when the body encounters challenges.

Symptoms are viewed as outward expressions of the body's efforts to restore equilibrium.

Acute Conditions Characteristics
  • A rapid or sudden appearance

  • A limited duration in time

  • A natural tendency towards resolution

  • A generally rapid recovery capacity

HOMEOPATHIC REMEDIES

Homeopathic remedies are selected based on the complete symptom picture, as well as the individual's unique characteristics and health history.

The aim is to support the body's natural self-regulating processes and promote overall balance.

How Are Homeopathic Remedies Prepared?

Homeopathic remedies are prepared from substances of:

  • Plant origin

  • Mineral origin

  • Animal origin

Preparation begins with a mother tincture, created from the original source material. Insoluble substances first undergo a process called trituration, in which they are finely ground with lactose.

The mother tincture is then diluted through a series of standardized steps. Between each dilution, the solution undergoes vigorous shaking, known as succussion.

The number associated with a homeopathic remedy indicates the level of dilution and the number of preparation stages completed.

Chronic Conditions Characteristics

  • Persistent or gradually developing symptoms

  • Long-term duration

  • Recurring or ongoing patterns

  • A more lasting impact on overall well-being
