NUTRACEUTICALS

Vitamins and minerals are essential micronutrients vital for life and necessary for normal cell function, growth, and development. They play a crucial role in maintaining good health.

WHY SUPPLEMENT

Research shows that the nutrient content of foods can vary significantly based on soil and growing conditions. Additionally, some nutrients in fruits and vegetables begin to decline after harvest. Since many fruits and vegetables are picked weeks or even months before they reach our plates, they often lose much of their nutritional value.

Processed foods undergo various transformations during production, exposing them to heat, light, chemicals, sterilization, freezing, and extended storage. These processes can greatly diminish their nutrient content.

Environmental pollution in air, food, water, and soil has increased, forcing our bodies to work harder to detoxify these chemicals.

Many individuals suffer from chronic health conditions, requiring them to take pharmaceutical drugs daily for years or even a lifetime. Some of these medications can interact with nutrients, leading to deficiencies.

Aging, while a natural part of life, can reduce the body's ability to digest and absorb nutrients effectively. Additionally, some older adults may be undernourished.

Certain individuals may also be at higher risk for specific illnesses due to genetics, family history, or personal health conditions.

MINERALS

The body requires various essential minerals for healthy functioning, including fluid balance, metabolism, bone and teeth health, muscle contraction, and nervous system function, as well as hundreds of other physiological processes.

  1. Macro Minerals: are needed in larger amounts, typically 100 mg per day or more. These include calcium, phosphorus, sulfur, chloride, magnesium, potassium, and sodium. Calcium and phosphorus are the most abundant minerals in the body.

  2. Micro or Trace Minerals: are required in very small amounts and include boron, chromium, cobalt, copper, iron, fluoride, germanium, iodine, manganese, nickel, molybdenum, selenium, silicon, vanadium, and zinc.

probiotics

PROBIOTICS

Probiotics are beneficial microorganisms (bacteria and yeasts) that are essential for maintaining a healthy digestive system. They help sustain the balance of the gut microbiome and provide various protective effects, including:

  • Restoring the balance of the gut microbiome

  • Strengthening the immune system

  • Reducing inflammation

  • Improving gut barrier function

  • Synthesizing certain vitamins

The gut microbiome can be disrupted by diseases, medications, an imbalanced diet, and other factors. Probiotics can help prevent or treat:

  • Digestive disorders

  • Urinary and vaginal issues

  • Oral health problems

  • Skin conditions (eczema)

  • Allergies

  • Infections and overall immune support

THE QUALITY OF THE SUPPLEMENTS YOU BUY IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE:

                      VITAMINS

Vitamins are organic compounds found in plants and animals that the body cannot produce, making it essential to obtain them through diet or supplementation to prevent deficiencies. They are categorized into two classes:

  1. Water-soluble vitamins: are quickly utilized by the body, and any excess is excreted through urine, except for vitamin B12, which can be stored in the liver. This group includes vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, folic acid, B12, and C.

  2. Fat-soluble vitamins: are more challenging to extract and are stored in the body's fat cells. Unlike water-soluble vitamins, they cannot be excreted by the kidneys. This group consists of vitamins A, D, E, and K.

omega-3 essential fatty acids

ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS

Fats play a crucial role in health. Although the body can synthesize most fatty acids, there are two essential fatty acids (EFAs) that must be obtained from the diet:

  1. Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA)

  2. Linoleic acid (LA)

Deficiencies in these essential fatty acids can result in disorders like weakened immune function, depression, anxiety, and dry skin. In contrast, sufficient intake provides numerous health benefits, including:

  • Reducing inflammation and pain.

  • Improving appearance of skin and hair.

  • Supporting healthy cell membranes.

  • Regulating adrenal activity, mood, and behavior.

  • Development and function of the brain and nervous system.

  • Enhancing blood fluidity, preventing clotting and high blood pressure

  • Protecting against atherosclerosis and reducing the risk of heart disease

  • Guarding against skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and dandruff
